Sun applique

Spring is coming and its time for spring related crochet patterns.

Here is one of my favorite applique : a simple sun :)

General information

Stitches used:chain (ch), single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), slipstitch (ss)

Specials: magic ring (click here to learn how to do it)

Yarn: I used Nizza (Steinbach Wolle), 100% cotton, 50g, 140m.

Hook size: I used a 3,5 mm hook.

English pattern:

  1. start with a magic ring
  2. chain 1, 5 sc, close round with ss in first sc, tighten the magic ring until there is no whole.
  3. chain 3, 2 dc in each stitch, close round with ss in first dc.
  4. chain 3, *1 dc, 2 dc in one stitch * repeat for all stitches, close round with ss in first dc.
  5. sunrays: ss, ch 6, wirk 5 sc down the chain, 3 ss.
  6. repeat 5. until you have 7 sunrays.
  7. fasten off, weave in the ends.

Verwendete Maschen:Luftmasche (LM), feste Masche (FM), einfaches Stäbchen (Stb), Kettmasche (KM)

Besonderheiten: Fadenring (klicke hier, um zu lernen wie es geht)

  1. Fadenring
  2. 1 LM, 5 Fm in den Fadenring, Runde mit KM in erste FM schließen. Fadenring zusammenziehen, bis kein Loch mehr sichtbar ist.4
  3. 3 LM, 2 Stb in jede Masche der Vorrunde, KM in erstes Stb.
  4. 3 LM, *1 Stb, 2 Stb in eine Masche* wiederholen bis Runde beendet ist, KM in erstes Stb.
  5. Sonnenstrahlen: KM, 6 LM, 5 Fm an der LM-Kette entlang nach unten häkeln, 3 KM.
  6. Punkt 5 wiederholen, bis 7 Sonnenstrahlen gehäkelt sind.
  7. Arbeit beenden und Fadenenden vernähen.
