Sleeping Princess Eye Mask

Yarn: SMC Catania Fine, 100% Cotton, 50g/125m in purple and pink, for eye mask and case in puple you will need approximately one skein. For the pink parts you will need one one third of a skein.

Hook: 3 mm

Stitches: Chain (ch), single crochet (sc), slip stitch (ss), 2 tog = crochet 2 sc together.

Other material: Fleece 30×20 in pink, elastic strap 30 cm

Tapestry needle or sewing machine

2. 17 sc, chain 6

3. 22 sc, chain 6

4. 27 sc, chain 6

5. 32 sc, chain 4

6. 35 sc, chain 4

7. 38 sc, chain 1

8. 38 sc, chain 1

9. 2 sc in first stitch, 18 sc, chain 1

10. 2 sc tog, 18 sc, 2 sc in one stitch, chain 1

11. 2 sc in one stitch, 18 sc, 2 sc tog, chain 1

12. 2 sc tog, 18 sc, 2 sc in one stitch, chain 1

13. and 14.  20 sc, chain 1

15. 2 sc tog, 18 sc, chain 1

16. 2 sc tog, 17 sc, chain 1

17. 2 sc tog, 16 sc, chain 1

18. 2 sc tog, 15 sc, chain 1

19. 2 sc tog, 12 sc, 2 sc tog, chain 1

20. 2 sc tog, 16 sc, chain 1

21. 2 sc tog, 8 sc, 2 sc tog, chain 1

22. 2×2 tog, 4 sc, 2 sc tog, chain 1

Fasten off weave in the ends.

 

Loop in on the other side and repeat Row 9. – 24. for the second eye patch.

Make a round of sc around the whole eye mask, crochet 2 sc together in the corner of the “stairs”.

 

 Finish:

Take your fleece or other fabric, apply eye mask on it and fix it with fixing pins. Cut the form of the eye mask out of the fleece, make it a little bit smaller than the crocheted eye mask.

IF you don’t have any fabric you can use, make a second crocheted eye mask in another colour.

Embroider the eyes. Sew the fleece onto the eye mask, leave one hole on each side to sew on the elastic strap!

At last, take the yarn in your main colour and crochet one round of sc in th eback loop of each single crochet. Fasten off, weave in the ends.

 

 

Sleeping Princess Eye Mask Case:

Yarn: SMC Catania Fine, 100% Cotton, 50g/125m in purple and pink

Hook: 3 mm

Stitches: Chain (ch), single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc)

Other: Tapestry needle or sewing machine, Button of your choice

 

Pattern:

Chain 42 in purple

1. 40 sc, chain 1

2. *1 sc, 1 dc* repeat until the end of the row, chain 1

Repeat rows 1 and 2 until you have a crocheted piece of about 18, 5 cm. End with row 1!

Switch colour (pink), and repeat row 2 and 1 for another 5 cm.

Fold the piece so that the first and last row in the main colour (purple) are located parallel and onto each other.

Loop in yarn in second colour (pink) on the right corner of the case and crochet one round of sc to close the side parts. Keep doing sc until you reach the upper end of the cover, crochet 17 sc, chain 6 – skip 6 stitches (button hole), 17 sc and keep on doing sc the other side down to close the other side part.

Fasten off weave in the ends. Sew on the button.
